If you’re looking for ways to keep your business or commercial property safe and secure, then mobile security patrols may be the answer to your security needs. Mobile patrols are becoming one of the most popular security options for business owners.

Mobile Security Patrol

Let’s take a look at how mobile security patrols work and what benefits there are to today’s business owner.

So what is a mobile security patrol?

As suggested by the name, security patrol units patrol the business premises in security vehicles and on foot looking for safety, security and maintenance issues. They also act as a strong visual deterrent to any unauthorized personnel on the site. In general, these patrols focus on the grounds and exteriors of buildings on the property.

Depending on customer requirements mobile patrol units can cover a wide variety of regularly scheduled tasks such as lockups. As a rule of thumb, the main task is to ensure the exterior of the premises is totally secure and there are no breaches of security, or trespassers on the property.

In addition, our mobile patrol units will look out for and report any potential hazards in order to maintain required health, security and safety standards.

Patrols will also report on maintenance issues discovered during patrols. Maintenance reports can be sent directly to the proper maintenance contact for the property depending on the nature of the issue. Direct real-time reporting of maintenance issues and other issues will speed up the response time to maintenance issues and eliminate some of the property manager’s workload.

Mobile patrol units may also be asked to do specific tasks depending on the needs or requirements of the business owner.

Patrols are carried out at random intervals during the day/night depending on the specific needs of the client. Randomly timed patrols make sure that anyone watching the property, can’t detect a specific pattern or routine. Adding your business property to a security patrol route also offers a cost effective alternative to a full time security staff.

Benefits to the business or commercial client

There are several benefits to hiring a mobile security patrol service.

First, regular patrols make sure the premises is kept safe and secure. This is of particular importance since a situation in which valuable equipment is stolen or vandalized, could result in the loss of thousands of dollars which could be devastating to a small business. Mobile patrols are a great solution for larger properties since they can cover a much broader area of the property than stationary security guards.

For companies who operate a 24 hour, 7 days a week working shift pattern, mobile patrols can also give peace of mind to employees as they are working and going to and from work.

For lodging properties, such as hotels and resorts, the presence of mobile security patrol units will show your guests that you take their safety and security seriously. Crimes like thefts from guest vehicles can make their way on to online review websites and ruin your property’s online reputation. Mobile patrol agents are also trained to look out for and report on any safety issues at the property, like those that can result in slip, trip and fall accidents.

Mobile security patrols also act as a major deterrent for criminals and vandals since these types of people will be more likely to target a business or commercial property that does not have any visible security presence.

Mobile patrols can also randomly patrol construction sites where hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of building supplies, tools and equipment are at risk of being stolen, or vandalized.

Don’t wait for something to happen. Security patrol inspections are a proactive deterrent to burglary, theft, trespassing and vandalism as well as maintenance and safety issues.
